The Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE) will award four $1,200 scholarships to college students for 2023. Marion County Supervisor of Elections Wesley Wilcox urges local qualified students to apply.

Applicants must:

  • Be registered Florida voters and live in the state for at least the preceding two years.
  • Be at least a junior in college and majoring in Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Journalism/Mass Communication.
  • Be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in a senior college or university in Florida and have at least a “C” average or above for the previous year. 

The scholarship application can be downloaded here or obtained in person at the Marion County Election Center located at 981 NE 16th Street, Ocala. 

The completed application and letters of recommendation must be received by the Supervisor of Elections by March 10, 2023 and can be returned in person, by mail, or email to: 981 NE 16th Street, Ocala, FL 34470 or Outreach@VoteMarion.Gov
